Maui H.O.G. Chapter WINS AGAIN!

WOW ! WOW ! WOW !!!!!!

Did we every accomplish the mission statement of HOG this weekend - OR WHAT !!!!!!!!!!!

 

What a kick'ss party we had at our 5th Annual Chili Cook Off !!!  All THANK'S YOU !!!!!!!!!

 

Our day started out at 6.00am at the VFW in Kihei, setting up tents, tables and chairs and bring in a dozen  120 quart coolers full of, pracitcally every type of refreshment you can think off !!

 

Sacrificing their day riding, we left,  Andrea, Paul & Jessie behind - Posting sign's, table numbers, setting up the silent auction, running for more ice and welcoming the entrant's to the Chili Cook Off as they came in - We headed off to Maui H/D for registration and sign-in's - Where we found coffee & pastries waiting for us supplied by Maui H/D. Rob, Zach & Traci, JC & Joe were already working on paperwork & poker sheets getting ready for the deluge of riders coming in at 9.00am !!

 

With all the boring stuff out of the way and a pre-ride meeting done, about 80 Harley-Davidson's were on the road, headed for Lulu's resturant in Lahaina, where Ron (Lulu's manager) had already set up a killer breakfast buffet and all staff were at the ready to serve,

 US --- 'Road Weary Traveler's' !!  LOL !!!

 

12.00 noon found us back on our trussty steed's and off to Beach Bum's resturant in Maa'laea for a refreshment stop and a poker pull.

 

1.00pm Soon rolled around and we were off in search of some great chili and a Kick'ss Party at the Kihei VFW - LOL  !!!!

 

At this years Chili Cook Off we had 5 M/C clubs enteries and 14 open category entrants, about 350 people rolled in and everyone with refreshments at the ready - At 2.00pm Rob got up on the microphone and officially announced the start of our 5th Annual Maui HOG Chapter Chili Cook Off -Entertainment was provided by The Edge and we were rockin and getting our first taste of some fantastic Chili - The afternoon progressed and The Vince Esquire Band made their appearence onto the stage !!  And did they make an appearence !!!!  They absolutely ROCKED the place into the early evening !!!!!!

 

With all the ballot tickets counted, at 6.00pm we announced the winners of 2009 Chili Cook Off.

 

Open category winners :

 

1st place was Jennifer & Don who ride with Kanaka Hekili M/C

2nd place was Helene Walker

3rd place was a tie between Percy from Maui Brews and Dewayne who rides with Koa Puna M/C.

 

Motorcycle Club Challenge :

 

1st place MAUI HOG CHAPTER !!!!!!!!!!!

2nd place Street Bikers United.

3rd place Anela Ahiu M/C

 

A HUGE ! Thank you goes out to all contestants that particapated in the event - We could not have done it without YOU !!! 

Thank You to all the M/C clubs that particiapated : Rock & Roll M/C, Street Bikers United, Kanaka Hekili M/C, Anela Ahiu M/C  AND !!!  TO OUR VERY OWN ROSIE, WHO COOKED THE CHILI FOR  THE MAUI HOG CHAPTER !!!!  YOU RULE BABY !!!!!  2 YEARS IN A ROW NUMBER 1 !!!!!!

 

LET'S MAKE IT ' THREE'S A CHARM ' -- NEXT YEAR !!!!!!!!

 

AND !!  An even bigger THANK YOU !! goes out to all our Maui HOG Chapter members for helping put this event together and executing it to PERFECTION !! -- Especially !! - Joe & JC from Maui H/D, Rob, Michael, Andrea, Fred & Nikki, Rich & Nancy, Bryan, Paul B, G Money & Anna, Paul W, Kalani, Dan, Mark W, Zach & Traci, Darren & Cathy, Jennifer & James, Brad H, Helene Walker, Bob R, Lisa P, Kathy-Lynn, Luke, Harold, Bucky, Rich B, Yong, Jessie, Andy & Achemi - Please forgive me if I have missed anyone, so many people helped this year, I apologise if I have missed anyone !
