June HOG Wonderings

By Assistant Director - Posted on 06 July 2012

Well, the fish fry is done and by accounts it was a success. Thanks should go to a few KEY PEOPLE! They really pulled it off!
We have been having a lot of fun. With our new director, we are trying a lot of new things. First of all we are trying different locations and times for our membership meetings. Hopefully these changes are getting to you via email. If not, please find a way to contact the director or the webmaster to resolve the problem.

Speaking of electronic media, have you sent in any ride pictures? I got questioned by HOG members about our old pictures. I now have a Gopro camera to help with this dilemma. If you become a regular contributor to the photo collection, there is a simple method to get your pictures on line. We have started using a “Drop Box” account. It seems to be a fairly simple just copy your pictures to your on line account and Lisa can pick them up and post them in almost not time at all!

As far as activities, did you make it to the races? It was a lot of fun. We had the BBQ grill and the burgers were flying as fast as the racers! Marci, a member of the Cycle City Staff (from Honolulu) took first place during her very first night of Maui racing! We also had a Saturday run to Keanae followed up by a round of Glow Putt and then a membership meeting. This was in addition to our normal Sunday Rides. We are still looking for members to make suggestions and participate in the extracurricular activities. Do you have any thoughts on this? Please drop me an email using the link from the website.

The current officers are working to spice things up for the membership. The website is starting to look a little fresher. We could use some current input from our discretionary officers. I notice that some of our newsletter / blog information is not currently posted on the web site. I do encourage all of us to contribute to the effort to show the world what life on Maui is like for the people who are lucky enough to experience it by motorcycle.

Where will our next adventure take us? Where do you want us to go? Remember to get signed up for the State HOG rally this coming October! It is coming to Maui for the first time EVER!!!

See you on the road!

Kevin
