Moon Light Dinner Ride

By Director - Posted on 21 April 2008

April 19th 2008 and it's a FULL MOON !!

After meeting at Henry's Bar & Grill @ 5.30pm and waiting for Dan & Barb to show up (6.15pm) we were finally able to gather everyone up for a group photo outside the bar before we left for Hecock's in Lahaina !!

Heading down Kihei road towards Lahaina the sun was starting to make it's way toward the horison and changing it's colors to orange - With a cruise to Maalaea and onto Honopiilani Hwy we rod into a beautifull blue, orange sunset as we reached Lahaina town, where the sun finally made it's last apperence for the day and gave us our moon lit night - With a cruise down Front street we soon arrived at 505 Front street & Hecock's resturant, our chosen place for dinner !

Hecock's food service left a lot to be desired! But eventually everyone got something to eat and for the most part were able to leave contented, we had an added bonus while waiting for our food - We over looked the Lahaina Luau where we watched the Hula Show & Fire Dance !

After everyone had their fill of food & drink we were off to the 'Look Out' on the Pali Hwy where we had pre-arranged a suprise for Mark & Kim to re-new their 'Wedding Vows' under the Maui Moon Light !! - Saturday April 19th 2008 was Mark & Kim's 22nd wedding anniversary & Mark being the 'Romantic' guy that he is !!  Thought it would be a great idea if we stopped on our way back to Kihei after dinner at the 'Pali Look Out' and suprise Kim with a - 'Wedding Vows' re-newal ceremony !! ( Which suprised she was !!)

Upon reaching the 'Pali Look Out' - Reverent Al ( Reverent Al is one of our H.O.G members) was there to greet us & perform the ceremony - Flower lei's, of every description, soon appeared from every direction and now Mark & Kim were appropriately dressed for the occasion.

Under the - 'Maui Moon LIght' - Reverent Al performed a perfect ceremony and now Mark & Kim are all set for the next 22 YEARS !!

Thank you to everyone that came out and made the day special and thank you to Mark & Kim for sharing your special day with all of us !! May God Bless You Both !!

Aloha, Stewart
