Hog 50th Rally Ride Info

Hey Guys & Gals,

We had a great time with many new members and great riding on top of that. 

• It had started out with all of us meeting at the air port in the morning of Friday to pick up the bikes from the container. 
• We then put everyone on the road to check into the hotels.
• We all went out to the Makaha Resort for registration and food and fun.
• The first event Germaine's Luau that evening with food fun and drinks.  It was on the beach and just a wonderful time with all us there.
• Our Maui HOG Group  all ended up in one location at the end of the night on Friday, the well known Maile Sky Court Bar on the fifth floor.  Take it from that point forward we all ended the day with many laughs and looking forward to many good days of riding!
• Saturday morning at our meeting place at the base of Maile Sky Court garage.  Loud roars of powerful motorcycles ripped thru the city streets setting of car alarms and many vacationer's watching as our bike numbers as they grew by the second.  We all had our breakfast and were ready to ride!  We all got our famous HOG Chapter Flag out to have everyone stand proud as usual for the great photo.  We proceeded to ride off to the wonderful roads of Oahu by heading around the island out past Diamond Head and our set destination for lunch at ROMY'S Fresh water shrimp!!  During the wonderful ride around the island we made another important stop at Chinaman's Hat which another great picture was taken.  It was so good to have so many bikes run together with our Gold HOG shirts showing off what a powerful set of biker's dedicated to our organization.  We were by far the largest group in all of the bike groups in the 50th HOG Rally representing our Maui Chapter.  Towards the end of the night we had stopped in Pililaau Army Center for the Sun set on the beach reception.  We meet with many other biker's from the Oahu Chapters to talk with them and show off our bikes from Maui.  We then finalized the day with another great meeting place Maile Sky Court Bar again for more laughs and great times.
• Sunday!!!  The Group again showing the sense of strong Maui HOG Chapter suited up in our Safety Green shirts this time at the base of the Hotel again with another Great Picture!  We headed towards H3 highway to only find heavy rain on the other side of the island this time.  Wet, wet and more wet as we set our destination and rode proud.  We had our hearts set on all the senic areas over there to only make some changes in the ride as we went along.  Barbar's Point and then back the Cycle City to have food, Live entertaiment and many groups all gathered together to share our Aloha for each other.  This was the closing ceremonies to the HOG 50th State Rally.  We then set sail to go over to the side of the island of our newest members in Waipahu and share the ride stories of the day at a local bar taking over a large section of this bar with everyone who had rode with us during the day!  Laughs and fun was the best part of our gathering.  Smiles and just having the time of our lives.  We all mentioned how with our new members that the travel between the island will be much easier for all of us.  I can not wait till they come over to see us here on Maui.  The very last part of the day ended up in the Famous Maile Sky Court Bar again to just mention all of the great fun and laugh we shared.  It was very casual some went swimming in the near by pool and to finish we all tired from a very busy weekend slowly diminished to end the night.
• Monday---  The breakfast thing was over and we all had to get checked out of the hotels and ride over to get our bike on the container.  Surprising enough many of our newest members and many Thanks to Nick for showing up to pack in lugage and many other items to the port for us.  They help load bikes and took us all to Hooter for a lunch before our departure.  We all loaded up in many cars and then ended up to catch our flights back to Maui.
