Welcome Ladies!
The Ladies of Harley has been quite busy in the past year. We have not quite gotten to the point where we are doing "our own thing" but we sure have fun supporting our local Chapter #44. We have been very visible during all our open runs and we have hard working ladies on the board. Joanne is our wonderful secretary that has all our minutes ready for us on the website. Barbara inherited the newsletter from Nancy who moved to the "big island". Nancy will be doing the ultimate road trip with her husband Bill. They plan on doing the RV and bike ride for a few months from California to Florida. We wait to hear from them. The newsletter has been very interesting with the pictures and stories from the fearless President.
Kat inherited the treasurers' post from Bill and has had quite a time getting the books together... Lisa is our fantastic webmaster! Check out her great work on our website!! How do you like her music? Makes you want to get out on the road and RIDE!! Kathy is our activities person. She is always ready to make sure that all is ready for our H.O.G. projects.
In 2005 we will work towards building up our own treasury so that we can do something for just the Ladies. Maybe a visit to the spa to sooth our aching.well, you know what I mean!! Collectively with all the other ladies, we have a lot of fun.
Come join us! All you need to do is join H.O.G. as a rider or as an associate sponsored by a H.O.G. member. You will then get a LOH patch and will receive a pin to wear on your vest or jacket for every year that you stay as a member. Call or email me at sgomes@mauimedical.com. Or you could come join us for our monthly meetings at our clubhouse at Rich Cohen's Place. See the roster for his address.
Until then... here is something I would like to share with all the ladies..
MOTTO TO LIVE BY
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive, well preserved body. But rather to skid in... Sideways... Chocolates in one hand, martini in the other, Body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming:
YAHOO!! WHAT A RIDE!!
And have no regrets!!
Ride Safe! Ride Smart!
